Senior Validation Engineer

🚀 Validation Engineer 4 | Processor / Silicon Validation | San Jose, CA

I’m currently looking for an experienced Validation Engineer 4 for a leading semiconductor organization in San Jose, CA.

If you have strong experience with processor/platform validation, electrical characterization, I/O debug, oscilloscopes and logic analyzers, this could be an excellent opportunity to explore.

📍 Position Details
Job Title: Validation Engineer 4
Location: San Jose, CA (onsite)
Contract: 12 months
Pay Rate: $60–$85/hour on W2

What You’ll Do
Develop comprehensive electrical and functional validation test plans
Execute platform-level validation for new processor silicon and interface features
Perform electrical characterization and functional testing
Debug processor and PC platform I/O interface issues
Use oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and hardware/software validation tools
Review schematics, layouts and platform designs
Provide technical input into platform definition and silicon-validation strategies
Work closely with multiple engineering disciplines
Provide technical guidance to less-experienced engineers and technicians

What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field with 8–10+ years of relevant experience
OR Master’s degree with 8+ years of directly related experience
Strong experience developing and executing platform-level electrical & functional validation plans
Processor I/O / platform I/O validation and debug experience
Electrical characterization experience is highly desirable
Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes and logic analyzers
Ability to read schematics and layout documentation
Strong hardware troubleshooting and debugging skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
