Senior Test Engineer

Skywater is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to design, configure, and optimize testing systems for complex drivetrain and powertrain components. This role focuses on hands-on mechanical testing, data analysis, and validation of product performance in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
Design and implement testing strategies, sequences, and methodologies
Configure and optimize dynamometer and end-of-line test systems
Develop and execute validation tests for transmissions and related components
Analyze test data to establish performance limits and identify issues
Calibrate and maintain test equipment and systems
Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
Mentor junior engineers and support cross-functional teams

Desired Skills And Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience)
Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and applied physics
Experience with mechanical testing, validation, or experimental engineering
Familiarity with data acquisition systems and test environments
Ability to analyze large datasets and translate findings into actionable insights
