Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Test Engineer with a strong background in software testing, particularly in Python and Squish. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through rigorous testing methodologies. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work collaboratively within a team to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Python and Squish.
Collaborate with software developers and product managers to understand requirements and create comprehensive test plans.
Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools, ensuring timely resolution.
Perform regression testing and ensure that new features do not adversely affect existing functionality.
Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality aspects of the code.
Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior testing team members.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in software testing.
Mandatory Skills
Proficiency in Python programming language.
Experience with Squish for automated testing.
Strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
Ability to write clear and concise test cases and documentation.
Familiarity with defect tracking tools and test management software.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Preferred Skills
Experience with other testing frameworks and tools.
Knowledge of Agile methodologies and practices.
Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment CI CD processes.
Experience in performance testing and security testing.
Understanding of web technologies and APIs.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Relevant certifications in software testing eg ISTQB are a plus.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
