Senior Test Engineer

About The Role

The Senior Test Engineer is responsible for writing code and scripts, identifying tools for functional and non-functional tests, and contributing to automated test frameworks to ensure the delivery of high-quality software and products. In this role, you will design test plans, procedures, and code/scripts to accurately assess new products and updates in accordance with product requirements and department quality standards. Your Role Responsibilities — Here's What You'll Do

Develop and maintain complex integration, functional, and non-functional tests and automated test frameworks across teams to ensure the holistic quality of the software.
Lead and maintain the implementation of the delivery pipeline, including test automation, frameworks, build environments, test environments, and security.
Lead the verification of system functionality by executing complex automated and manual tests, analyzing results, and providing recommendations; create and manage performance metrics, defects/enhancements, test cases, and test results within a team.
Analyze and report test results and monitor trends over time; operate as a trusted advisor on issues and trends, providing consulting services leveraging expertise and best practice knowledge, and identifying and implementing better test tools and automation methodology.
Complete complex peer code reviews for test automation code and incorporate feedback into automated tests; influence and lead standards and processes of the team, including planning, work estimation, peer reviews, and test design.
Mentor, coach, train, and provide feedback to other team members; assess the business value and broader impact of software changes when designing automated tests and contribute to the prioritization of the team backlog.


Role Essentials — What You Bring

BS or MS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience, with experience across all phases of the test lifecycle and in software application testing tools, methodologies, and process frameworks.
Significant experience with test design, test automation, continuous integration tools, source control systems, and build environments and delivery pipelines, with experience on Windows/Linux platforms.
Significant experience with multiple scripting tools and programming languages, with experience in database technology, Agile frameworks, and demonstrated experience with regression testing.
Strong oral and written communication skills that reflect a professional demeanor, with strong collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills and good leadership, sound judgment, and business acumen.
Self-motivated with the ability to manage projects to completion independently, with strong attention to detail, a driven approach to staying current professionally, and up to 5% travel time required.

Experience leading the implementation of delivery pipelines, including test automation frameworks, build environments, test environments, and security integration.
Proven ability to analyze and report test results, monitor trends over time, and provide actionable guidance to teams for continuous improvement.
Experience completing complex peer code reviews for test automation code, with the ability to influence and lead team standards and processes across planning, work estimation, and test design.
Strong mentoring and coaching skills with experience providing feedback to team members and leadership on technical capabilities, with the ability to assess business value and broader impact of software changes.

Basic Qualifications
