Senior ATE Test Engineer
Location: Orange County, CA
Fully Onsite
$150,000–$180,000 Base Salary
Industry Leading Benefits Package
Profit Sharing Plan (monthly and annually)
Are you a driven Test Engineer with a passion for precision and performance? Join a leading engineering team developing high-performance mixed-signal semiconductor products for avionics applications. This is your opportunity to lead the test strategy, drive hardware and software test development, and collaborate with cross-functional teams across the entire product lifecycle.
What You'll Do
Lead the transition of test solutions from legacy systems to advanced ATE platforms.
Design and implement high-speed test solutions at both the wafer and package level.
Develop test hardware (DUT boards, load boards, power distribution networks) and write robust test programs in C++/Linux.
Collaborate with design teams to incorporate Design for Test (DFT) methodologies early in the development cycle.
Analyze test yields and production data to identify areas for optimization and cost savings.
Assist in long-term capital equipment planning and tool selection.
Conduct reliability and qualification testing, and support ATE characterization.
Provide technical support to internal and external customers, and contribute to overall product robustness.
Manage multiple test development projects simultaneously while maintaining top-tier quality standards.
Qualifications
BS/MS in Electrical Engineering
5+ years of experience in semiconductor test engineering, ideally in mixed-signal or avionics domains.
Strong hands-on experience with ATE platforms—preferably Cohu
Knowledge of analog/digital test development, debugging, and characterization.
Experience in board-level design (analog/mixed-signal/digital PCBs); layout knowledge is helpful but not required.
Familiarity with life testing, qualification, and yield improvement.
Clear, concise communicator with a collaborative mindset.
Experience in high-reliability or safety-critical applications is a strong plus.
