The ideal candidate has strong hands-on laboratory experience, enjoys developing automated test solutions, and is passionate about improving test methods, data quality, and engineering processes.

Responsibilities
Characterize thermoelectric (TE) materials to measure electrical conductivity, Seebeck coefficient, Hall parameters, and other material properties using custom-built test systems.
Perform thermoelectric device testing to evaluate maximum performance parameters (ΔT, voltage, current) and electrical characteristics (DC and AC resistance).
Conduct wafer-level electrical testing using manual and semi-automatic probe stations.
Analyze test data and prepare technical reports for engineering teams and leadership.
Lead discussions on test results and data analysis to support engineering decisions related to material development and product performance.
Develop, modify, and maintain LabVIEW test software and data processing tools to improve automation, throughput, and efficiency.
Design, modify, and maintain custom test fixtures and laboratory equipment as needed.
Coordinate testing schedules across engineering teams while providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior test and failure analysis engineers.
Support the ongoing development and expansion of laboratory metrology capabilities.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline (Master's or PhD preferred).
3–5+ years of hands-on laboratory or engineering test experience, preferably involving thermoelectric materials or electronic devices.
Experience with test automation using LabVIEW, Python, MATLAB, or similar programming tools.
Strong data analysis and reporting skills using Python, MATLAB, and Microsoft Office.
Experience with laboratory instrumentation such as digital multimeters, power supplies, data acquisition systems, and relay switching equipment.
Familiarity with vacuum systems, including vacuum chambers, pumps, valves, fittings, and sealing methods.
Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks is a plus.
Experience with 3D printing for rapid prototyping is a plus.
Experience using silicon wafer probe stations is preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced engineering environment with occasional weekend support when needed.
