Senior Staff Engineer Product Definition

We're looking for a highly motivated Product Definition Engineer / Technical Product Owner to drive the development of next-generation Medium Voltage GaN (iGaN) products from concept to production.

In this role, you'll work at the intersection of technology, product strategy, and customer engagement, leading cross-functional teams to define innovative solutions for AI server power, data centers, renewable energy, and industrial power systems.

Your role

Key responsibilities in your new role

Act as the primary technical owner for assigned Medium Voltage GaN(iGaN) products throughout the product lifecycle.
Define and maintain product requirements, specifications, target performance, reliability objectives, and qualification strategy. Product Definition & Requirements Management
Translate customer, market, and system-level requirements into detailed product specifications.
Develop product requirement documents (PRQ), feature definitions, datasheet specifications, and product positioning.
Evaluate application trends and competitive solutions to identify product differentiation opportunities.
Define key electrical, thermal, package, reliability, and protection requirements. Cross-Functional Technical Leadership
Work with cross-functional product teams consisting of R&D, technology development, package development, quality, applications, marketing, and operations organizations.
Drive execution of development milestones from concept definition through qualification and production release.
Resolve technical challenges and lead root-cause investigations impacting product performance or schedule.
Ensure alignment among stakeholders and drive timely decision-making. Product Development & Validation
Define characterization and validation plans to verify product performance against specifications.
Review silicon results, reliability data, and qualification outcomes to ensure readiness for product release.
Support failure analysis activities and corrective action implementation.
Drive continuous improvement of product performance, quality, and manufacturability. Customer & Market Engagement
Interface directly with strategic customers to understand application requirements and technical challenges.
Support customer design activities through product positioning, technical reviews, and issue resolution.
Participate in roadmap discussions, customer workshops, and key technical engagements.
Work closely with marketing and applications teams to identify future product opportunities.

Your profile

Qualifications And Skills To Help You Succeed

Bachelors, master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Semiconductor Physics, or related field
5+ years of semiconductor industry experience with significant exposure to power semiconductor products. Strong understanding of GaN,SiC, and/or silicon power device technologies.
At least 3 years of experience as product definition engineer
Solid understanding of semiconductor development flows, qualification processes, reliability, and manufacturing.
Understanding of power conversion topologies, industrial powers systems, renewable energy systems, AI server power, and data center power architectures. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Medium Voltage GaN technologies and applications
Experience leading complex, multi-site development programs
