Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior / Staff EDA-CAD Engineer with 4 to 8 years of experience to drive our design enablement and methodology strategies. In this role, you will contribute our Electronic Design Automation (EDA) Tool-Flow-Methodology eco-system across both Digital and Analog Mixed-Signal (AMS) domains. You will directly influence engineering efficiency by evaluating cutting-edge tools, integrating AI-driven workflows, and optimizing licensing costs.

Key Responsibilities
Tool Selection & Flow Optimization
Review EDA tool offerings from major EDA vendors for efficient workflow adoption for Digital and AMS domain
Drive informed and tactical decisions through comparative technical features and cost trade-off.
Collaborate with functional R&D teams and external Application engineering team for setting up tools/flows with fast TAT.
Cost & License Management
Analyze EDA license utilization metrics regularly w.r.t multiple project need/ complexity/headcount
Optimize license counts to balance cost and availability across engineering teams.
Formulate remix and allocation strategies for peak/non-peak usage challenges.
Next-Gen Benchmarking & AI Workflows
Evaluate advanced EDA tools through structured benchmarking.
Integrate AI-driven features into current design flows.
Deploy machine learning/AI/ Agentic AI solutions for optimization problems.
Methodology & Design Collaboration
Propose robust design methodologies in selective SOC implementation domains.
Collaborate with design teams to remove flow bottlenecks & establish best practices.
Co-ordinate/Lead internal technical training sessions on new flows.
Vendor Interfacing & Support
Act as key technical interface for major EDA vendors in assigned domains.
Drive complex technical issue resolution to closure.
Track vendor bug fixes and feature enhancement requests.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education: B.Tech or M.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: 4–8 years of hands-on experience in EDA CAD engineering.
Ecosystem Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of major vendor toolchains from Synopsys, Cadence, and Siemens.
Domain Expertise: Strong background in Digital (Synthesis, PnR, STA) and/or AMS (Simulation, Layout, Verification) flows.
Automation Proficiency: Expert level scripting skills in Python, Tcl, Perl, or Shell.
Analytics Capability: Familiarity with license monitoring software (e.g., FlexLM, OpenLM).
Soft Skills: Strong stake-holder management, verbal and written technical communication, and cross-team collaboration abilities.
