Job Description

The Senior RF Test Engineer will serve as a key technical contributor within a small but high-impact test engineering team acting as the bridge between R&D and production. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining automated RF test systems, troubleshooting production and test station issues, and ensuring reliable performance of RF devices and modules.
The engineer will be hands-on in a manufacturing environment, supporting both daily production needs and long-term test strategy development. Responsibilities include designing and implementing automated test solutions, debugging hardware/software test systems, analyzing production and parametric data, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
This role also involves collaboration with product engineering, yield engineering, and R&D teams to support new product introductions and ensure manufacturing readiness. The engineer will contribute to test strategy, calibration procedures, documentation standards, and training of test technicians.
This position is onsite and plays a critical role in ensuring product quality, yield optimization, and manufacturing efficiency in a fast-paced semiconductor environment.
Requirements

• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in RF device testing, test planning, and automated test system development
• Strong hands-on experience with RF testing equipment and RF parameters (amplifiers, attenuators, splitters, frequency converters, etc.)
• Proficiency in Python and LabVIEW (C/C++ experience a plus)
• Experience building, calibrating, debugging, and maintaining automated test stations
• Strong understanding of RF test and measurement principles
• Experience with statistical data analysis tools (JMP or similar), SPC/DOE, and structured problem-solving (8D, 5 Whys)
• Ability to analyze parametric data and translate findings into actionable engineering decisions
• Strong documentation, communication, and teamwork skills
• Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing or production support environment
• Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) due to ITAR regulations

Manager Notes
The team consists of 3 Test Engineers, 2 Product Engineers, and 2 Test Technicians. The group has been actively searching for several months without identifying the right candidate. They are looking for a strong onsite engineer who can act as a technical problem solver between R&D and production.
The ideal candidate is highly hands-on, able to troubleshoot whether issues stem from the test station or the product itself, and capable of stepping into production issues as needed. This role requires strong software capability in Python and LabVIEW, along with solid RF testing and data analysis skills.
There are growth opportunities, with progression potential to Principal Test Engineer. The environment is fast-paced, collaborative, and focused on continuous improvement and production stability.
Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy automated RF test systems
• Perform calibration, debugging, and troubleshooting of test stations and RF devices/modules
• Analyze test data and generate technical reports on findings
• Document test procedures, standards, and best practices
• Support new product introductions (NPI) with R&D and product engineering teams
• Partner with yield and manufacturing teams to improve quality and performance
• Select and improve RF test tools and methodologies
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in test efficiency and product yield
• Train test technicians on procedures and test station operation
• Support multi-site test engineering initiatives and software development needs
