Senior Power Electronics Systems Engineer

Position Summary
We are seeking a Senior Power Electronics Systems Engineer to support new product introduction (NPI), supplier development, and product lifecycle activities for advanced power delivery systems used in high-technology manufacturing equipment. This role bridges engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supplier teams to ensure complex electrical systems are successfully developed, validated, and transitioned into production.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience with power electronics, product qualification, supplier quality, systems engineering, and manufacturing processes within a complex engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support new product introduction (NPI) activities for advanced electrical and power systems.
Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supplier teams to resolve technical and production challenges.
Evaluate and improve manufacturing, assembly, calibration, and test processes for complex electronic products.
Drive supplier quality initiatives, audits, root cause investigations, and corrective actions.
Support product qualification, reliability testing, and validation throughout the product lifecycle.
Review engineering documentation, change management activities, and product release processes.
Analyze product performance and implement improvements related to quality, reliability, and manufacturability.
Partner with suppliers to improve manufacturing capability, testing methods, and process controls.
Lead technical problem-solving efforts involving electrical, mechanical, and system-level issues.
Support project planning, supplier coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Travel to supplier and manufacturing locations as needed to support product development and quality activities.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline (Master's preferred).
8+ years of experience supporting power electronics, electrical systems, or electronic hardware development.
Experience with DC power supplies, RF power systems, analog electronics, or high-power electronic assemblies.
Knowledge of product qualification, reliability engineering, and validation methodologies.
Experience supporting supplier quality, manufacturing engineering, or new product introduction (NPI).
Strong understanding of engineering documentation, configuration management, and engineering change processes.
Experience troubleshooting complex electrical and system-level issues.
Excellent analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience within semiconductor equipment, industrial equipment, or advanced electronics manufacturing.
Familiarity with PCB assemblies, automated testing, calibration systems, and manufacturing test fixtures.
Experience with reliability tools such as accelerated life testing, Weibull analysis, FMEA, or statistical process control (SPC).
Experience conducting supplier audits, process improvement, and root cause corrective action (RCCA).
Project or program management experience supporting cross-functional engineering initiatives.
