Senior Product Design Engineer

AP Executive Staffing is assisting our customer to hire a qualified Senior Product Design Engineer. As a leading global advanced manufacturer, this critical new product development role is an opportunity for an engineer who enjoys taking ownership of product innovation from concept through production while working within a collaborative, technically driven environment. As a key contributor in the design, development, and continuous improvement of engineered products used in demanding industrial applications, your key responsibilities include:
Leading new product design initiatives from concept, modeling, prototyping, testing, and final production release
Collaborating closely with manufacturing, quality, and cross-functional engineering teams to ensure designs are feasible, cost-effective, and production-ready
Developing detailed technical specifications including material selection, tolerances, manufacturing processes, and assembly methods
Utilizing 3D CAD software to create product models, technical drawings, and engineering documentation
Conducting product testing, validation, and performance analysis to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and customer standards
Driving design optimization focused on manufacturability, cost reduction, durability, and long-term product performance
Participating in APQP and continuous improvement activities including PFMEA, control plans, and PPAP documentation where applicable
Leading technical design reviews and providing guidance to junior engineering team members
Managing multiple engineering projects simultaneously while maintaining timelines and deliverables
Staying current on new technologies, materials, and best practices within product and manufacturing engineering.

kill/Experience Requirements include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical discipline
4+ years of engineering experience within a manufacturing environment including product design, engineering development, and technical problem solving
Proficiency with CAD design software and engineering documentation
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, tolerancing, and production methods
Experience with APQP tools such as PFMEA, DFMEA, Control Plans, and PPAP preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office365 applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook

Base Salary: $85,000 – $121,000 annually
