Senior PCB Designer | Space & Defense | Seattle, WA
A VC-funded, early-stage space technology startup in Seattle is developing advanced spaceborne radar and defense technologies, including Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) and target-tracking systems.
They’re looking for a Senior PCB Designer to take hands-on ownership of complex, flight-ready PCB designs for mission-critical space hardware.
Key Responsibilities
Own complex multilayer PCB layouts across high-speed digital, mixed-signal, RF and power electronics.
Design for FPGA, DDR, SERDES, BGA and high-frequency RF architectures.
Define stack-ups, routing strategies and constraints around SI/PI, impedance and EMI/EMC.
Take designs from layout through DFM, fabrication, assembly and hardware bring-up.
Work closely with electrical, RF, mechanical, thermal and manufacturing teams to deliver reliable flight hardware.
What We’re Looking For
Expert-level Altium Designer experience.
Strong background in high-speed, RF, mixed-signal and power PCB design.
Experience with DFM/DFA/DFT, PCB fabrication and assembly vendors.
Experience developing space, aerospace or defense hardware in high-reliability environments.
Comfortable operating as a hands-on senior/principal contributor within a small, fast-moving startup environment.
Eligible to work on U.S. export-controlled (ITAR) projects.
Bonus
Experience with spacecraft payloads, SAR, phased-array/electronically steered RF systems, IPC Class 3, NASA/MIL standards, ECAD/MCAD integration, or radiation-tolerant electronics.
