Senior or Principal Power Supply Design Engineer - NH - to: $180K
Location: New Hampshire
Compensation: $140,000 – $180,000 (Based on experience)
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Power Electronics Engineer to lead the full product development lifecycle of advanced power conversion systems. In this role, you will drive designs from initial concept and engineering specifications through to final manufacturing. The position involves developing custom power solutions—including both low-power and high-power AC/DC and DC/DC topologies—spanning from low-wattage units to multi-kilowatt systems.
Core Responsibilities
Develop, prototype, test, and troubleshoot complex analog and digital circuits for power conversion applications.
Translate customer requirements and internal technical specifications into high-reliability hardware designs.
Support manufacturing teams by designing test fixtures, tooling, and specialized equipment required for production.
Lead engineering documentation reviews, ensuring PCB layouts and mechanical packaging meet rigorous standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE/MSEE) or a closely related technical field.
Experience: 5 to 10+ years of direct experience designing power conversion circuits and topologies.
Industry Background: Proven track record delivering power systems for demanding sectors such as industrial, defense/aerospace, energy, or commercial electronic
Technical Skills:
Deep expertise in advanced analog design, magnetic component theory, and custom magnetics design.
Strong proficiency in power supply PCB layout, thermal management, and system-level packaging.
Experience verifying CAD-generated schematics and manufacturing documentation.
Candidates must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder).
