Senior Network Software Engineer – NOS / Forwarding Plane (SAI, SONiC, ASIC)

Key Responsibilities
Design and implement forwarding/data plane features using the SAI (Switch Abstraction Interface)
Develop and support end-to-end Network Operating System (NOS) functionalities, including build, integration, and debugging
Work closely with customers to understand technical requirements and deliver effective solutions
Collaborate with SQA and support teams to ensure high product quality and reliability
Create, update, and maintain detailed technical documentation
Contribute to and engage with open-source networking platforms and ecosystems
Required Qualifications
Forwarding Plane Expertise: Strong experience in L2/L3 networking, ACLs, QoS, tunneling, and SRv6
Programming Skills: Proficient in C/C++ and Python
ASIC/SDK Experience: Hands-on experience with switch ASIC SDKs and forwarding plane programming
Open Source Exposure: Experience with platforms like SONiC, FBOSS, or similar
Tools & Environment: Familiarity with GNU tools, Git, Jenkins, and Gerrit
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience working directly with customers
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or related field with 8+ years of experience
OR
Master’s degree with 6+ years of experience
