We are an advanced climate technology company developing innovative industrial systems focused on carbon capture and sustainable process engineering. We are seeking a Senior Microwave Engineer to support the development of next-generation high-power microwave technologies in a hands-on R&D environment.

This role is onsite in Berkeley, CA.

Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop high-power microwave heating systems (1 kW–100 kW, 900 MHz–3000 MHz)
Perform RF/microwave simulation, modeling, testing, and experimental validation
Optimize cavity, chamber, and waveguide designs using tools such as COMSOL or HFSS
Build prototypes, execute test plans, analyze data, and drive iterative improvements
Ensure microwave and high-voltage safety compliance
Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and R&D teams

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
5+ years of RF/microwave engineering or advanced R&D experience
Strong knowledge of s-parameters, impedance matching, wave propagation, chamber modeling, and material permittivity
Experience with high-power RF/microwave systems and electromagnetic simulation tools (COMSOL preferred)
Hands-on experimental and prototype development experience
Knowledge of RF leakage detection, arc prevention, and high-voltage safety
Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills

Preferred Backgrounds
Industrial microwave systems, RF power engineering, semiconductor equipment, plasma systems, aerospace/defense RF, or applied electromagnetics.
