Senior Mechanisms Engineer
We are seeking a Senior Mechanisms Engineer to lead the development, assembly, integration, and testing (AI&T) of advanced space-flight mechanisms. This role will focus on deployment systems for orbital platforms, contributing to both new product development and sustaining engineering initiatives.
You will play a key role in driving performance, reliability, and manufacturability of critical hardware, working across design, production, and test teams.
Responsibilities
Lead iterative mechanism design improvements based on test data and production feedback
Define, plan, and execute qualification and acceptance testing (vibration, shock, TVAC, assembly)
Conduct system-level trade studies to optimise AI&T workflows and production efficiency
Provide technical leadership to improve manufacturing processes, cost, and product quality
Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions
Support production teams and mentor junior engineers
Qualifications
Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience)
5+ years in aerospace or high-reliability engineering environments
Strong background in mechanism development and testing
