Senior Mainframe Specialist
We are looking for an experienced Mainframe professional who can manage critical enterprise applications, support large-scale legacy modernization initiatives, and ensure high system stability in mission-critical environments. Basically, someone who knows the mainframe world is still very much alive and quietly running half the banking and insurance universe.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, enhance, and support Mainframe applications
Work closely with business and technical teams to understand requirements
Handle production support, incident management, and root cause analysis
Participate in system enhancements, modernization, and migration initiatives
Perform code reviews and maintain coding standards
Coordinate with distributed teams and external stakeholders
Support batch job monitoring and performance tuning
Ensure application stability, security, and compliance
Participate in Agile ceremonies, estimations, and sprint planning
Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance
Required Skills
Strong experience in COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM, and DB2
Experience in Mainframe production support and development
Good understanding of batch processing and scheduling tools
Experience with IBM Mainframe environments
Knowledge of file handling, job optimization, and debugging
Exposure to APIs, middleware integrations, or modernization tools is a plus
Familiarity with version control and DevOps practices
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Good communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Banking, Insurance, or Financial Services domain preferred
Exposure to Mainframe modernization initiatives is an added advantage
Experience with tools like Endeavor, Changeman, Control-M, or File-AID preferred
Knowledge of cloud integration or hybrid architecture is a plus
