Has full ownership of HW design and release including HW specification creation, schematic generation, PCB layout, board bring up, and design verification.
Complete PCB design schematic using Orcad capture.
Complete HW design projects per design requirements or specifications and responsible for on time delivery and quality of design.
Work with both internal and external PCB layout designer to ensure all the PCB design phases from schematic review, Allegro part library, component placement, power plan sizing, routing, controlled impedance stack, signal integrity, etc. are properly done.
Work with PCB layout designer and Manufacturing Engineering to ensure the design meet DFM/DFT, IPC, and customer requirements.
Bring up new PCB design, perform design verification, and generate verification report.
Interface with Manufacturing, Test, Quality, Component Engineering and Product Marketing throughout the PLC of the product to ensure the release of HW design meet the all the expectation.
Interface with OEM customers for custom design and solutions and deliver a quality product accordingly
Work with component engineer and other design engineer to establish Unigen Orcad schematic symbols.
Active involvement in problem solving and implementing design improvement opportunities for the release of product at better quality and lower cost
Support Unigen global design activities as required
Provide quick turn placement and route analysis for design feasibility study.
Manage and mitigate minor mechanical design aspect of the PCB design including brackets and chassis.
Responsible for review, modify and deliver design package to Document Control for UPLM release.
Support the creation and fine-tuning of the Unigen design guidelines as well as PCB design review and control/release process.
