Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Hardware Design Engineer who will sit on site in Saratoga CA 5 days a week. The Senior Hardware Design Engineer will support generating networking systems for an AI data center.
Responsibilities Of The Senior Hardware Design Engineer
Develop hardware specifications and create comprehensive test and validation plans
Design schematics using Cadence/Allegro, ensuring high-performance and scalable hardware solutions.
Partner with ASIC teams to support hardware bring-up, integration, and system-level validation.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware issues in lab environments using oscilloscopes and analyzers.
Drive full hardware life cycle development from design to qualification and product release.
Requirements For The Senior Hardware Design Engineer
At least 10 years’ experience in system-level development, preferably in server, computer, or network industries.
Bachelors in electronic or computer engineering required; Masters preferred.
Knowledge in 100G+ Ethernet, high-speed SerDes (56/112/224G), and signal integrity
Understanding of x86 architecture and control interfaces (PCIe, MDIO, SPI, I2C)
Board design experience using Cadence Concept and Allegro
Experience in lab bring-up, debugging, design validation, and cross-functional collaboration
Track record of successfully delivering products to market
Working onsite 5 days a week
Compensation For The Senior Hardware Design Engineer
Salary $210,000 - $250,000 based on experience
