About The Job
Our client, an innovative and fast-growing small business, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer focused on FPGA development. In this role, the engineer will lead FPGA design, simulation, integration, and debugging efforts for complex electro-optical systems primarily used in defense applications.

Key Responsibilities
Support all stages of development from architecture and design through integration and manufacturing support
Work within a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary engineering environment
Troubleshoot hardware/system failures to root cause and develop quick solutions
Support customer program reviews and technical discussions
Desired Technical Skills
Strong FPGA development experience
VHDL / Verilog experience
Xilinx, Lattice, or Microchip FPGA/SOC tools
Video processing and video interfaces (MIPI, LVDS, camera/display systems)
RTL synthesis, testbenches, and protocol modeling
FPGA tools such as Vivado, Synplify, Modelsim, Questa, etc.
Embedded communication protocols (SPI, I2C)
High-speed data transmission (SERDES, DDR, LVDS)
Hardware integration, debugging, and testing experience
Nice-to-Have Skills
PCB layout/design experience
Allegro PCB or Orcad experience
STM32 or power supply design
Military or defense electronics background
EO/IR or imaging systems experience
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
Hands-on troubleshooting and testing skills
Experience working in military or rugged electronic environments preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
Additional Information
Must qualify as a U.S. Person under ITAR regulations
Occasional travel may be required
