📌 About the Role
Texas Instruments is looking for a Senior ESD Design Specialist to join our Advanced Technology Development team in Bangalore, India — one of the most respected semiconductor R&D organizations in the world.
You'll be embedded within TI's elite ESD Team, working hands-on with an industry-leading analog portfolio spanning precision analog, power management, imaging, audio, high-speed converters, and interface applications. This isn't a siloed role — you'll collaborate across Process Engineering, Packaging, Testing, Reliability, and Manufacturing, making a measurable impact at every stage.
If you're a sharp, self-directed engineer who thrives on solving complex ESD challenges and wants a career where deep technical excellence is genuinely valued — read on.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement ESD protection structures for a diverse analog product portfolio
Lead and conduct ESD design reviews; troubleshoot failures during internal and customer qualification cycles
Drive the design and development of ESD test structures for advanced technology assessments
Maintain and evolve ESD protection libraries and design guideline documentation used by TI engineers and I/O cell developers globally
Continuously improve ESD protection effectiveness and area efficiency — raising the bar on what's possible
✅ Required Skills
Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering (3+ years ESD experience) or M.S. in Electrical Engineering (5+ years ESD experience)
Deep expertise in analog and digital circuit operation
Strong command of high-current device physics — diodes, resistors, BJTs, SCRs, FETs
Hands-on knowledge of CMOS and analog silicon process flows
Experience in high-voltage ESD design (>20V)
Proven lab experience and strong analytical/problem-solving ability
Self-directed, organized, capable of managing multiple concurrent projects
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
🌟 Preferred Qualifications
Experience with BiCMOS or high-voltage analog process technologies
Exposure to ESD qualification standards (HBM, CDM, MM, IEC 61000-4-2)
Background in ESD characterization and TLP (Transmission Line Pulsing)
Published research or patents in ESD or semiconductor protection design
Prior experience in a cross-functional semiconductor R&D environment
🚀 Why Join Texas Instruments?
📈 Career Growth That's Real TI offers clearly defined paths across both technical leadership and people management tracks — your expertise will never hit a ceiling here.
🌐 Unmatched Technical Breadth Work across the entire semiconductor lifecycle — technology development, productization, qualification, and beyond. Few roles offer this level of end-to-end exposure.
🤝 Collaborative Culture You'll work alongside some of the sharpest minds in semiconductor engineering in a culture that values depth, rigor, and intellectual curiosity.
💡 Real Impact Your ESD designs protect products that power industries — automotive, industrial, personal electronics, and more. The work you do here ships.
🏙️ Bangalore Innovation Hub Join one of TI's fastest-growing engineering centers in a vibrant, technically rich environment.
💰 Competitive Compensation TI offers market-leading compensation, comprehensive benefits, and long-term incentives aligned with your contributions.
📣 Call to Action
Are you the kind of engineer who doesn't just solve problems — you architect solutions that outlast the project?
