About The Business:

Tata Electronics Private Limited (TEPL) is a greenfield venture of the Tata Group with expertise in manufacturing precision components.

Tata Electronics (a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons Pvt. Ltd.) is building India’s first AI-enabled state-of-the-art Semiconductor Foundry. This facility will produce chips for applications such as power management IC, display drivers, microcontrollers (MCU) and high-performance computing logic, addressing the growing demand in markets such as automotive, computing and data storage, wireless communications and artificial intelligence.

Key Responsibility

Responsibilities:

Execute and supervise mechanical works including HVAC, piping, firefighting and utility systems
Ensure execution as per approved GA drawings, P&IDs, layouts and project specifications
Strong coordination with Civil, Electrical and other MEP services for clash-free execution
Identify and resolve interface issues with Civil and other disciplines
Execute firefighting systems including hydrant, sprinkler and associated packages
Hands-on experience in first fix & second fix execution activities
Experience in shared/common services rack installation and coordination
Review GA drawings and identify discrepancies and coordination gaps
Conduct site coordination meetings with all departments and vendors
Manage contractors ensuring quality, safety and productivity
Monitor progress and prepare reports (DPR/WPR)
Installation, testing and commissioning of mechanical systems
Ensure compliance with QA/QC, ISO standards and safety practices (LOTO, PTW)
Handle vendors such as L&T and similar EPC contractors

Qualification

BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

Experience

Desired Experience Level: 5-10 years

Additional Technical Requirements

Essential Attributes:

Strong knowledge of HVAC, piping and firefighting systems
Ability to read and interpret GA drawings, P&IDs and layouts
Experience in MEP and Civil coordination and interface management
Familiarity with ISO standards (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001) related to mechanical works
Knowledge of first fix/second fix and services rack installations
Hands on experience on various pipe laying MS/SS/PPH/PVDF/HDPE/uPVC.
Knowledge of various utilities associated for piping HVAC, AHU, MAU, RCU, chilled water system, centrifugal chillers, compressed Air system (CDA), PCW, Heat exchanger & cooling towers, UPW & WWTP
