Experienced Hardware Design Engineer with 10+ years of expertise in embedded hardware, power electronics, and analog circuit design for solar energy, EV charging (EVSE), smart metering, and energy storage applications. Proven success in end-to-end product development, including system architecture, schematic capture, PCB design review, board bring-up, compliance certification, and production release. Strong background in residential solar, energy storage, and power conversion systems, delivering reliable and cost-effective products from concept through manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead hardware architecture development, schematic design, and PCB layout reviews.
Design, analyze, and validate power conversion circuits, including buck, boost, flyback, and auxiliary power supplies.
Develop embedded hardware solutions for smart energy, metering, battery management systems (BMS), and backup power applications.
Design and implement power management, sensing, protection, isolation, and relay control circuits.
Drive board bring-up, debugging, verification, validation, and system integration activities.
Lead EMC/EMI, safety, surge, FCC, CE, UL, and regulatory compliance efforts.
Drive DFM, DFA, DFT, DFMEA, reliability engineering, and product industrialization activities.
Collaborate closely with firmware, mechanical, compliance, quality, and manufacturing teams through product launch and production.
Technical Expertise:
Products: EV Chargers, Solar Inverters, Energy Storage Systems (ESS), Battery Management Systems (BMS), Backup Control Switches, Smart Metering Solutions
Embedded Hardware: MCU-based systems, BLE, LoRa, CAN, SPI, I2C, UART
Power Electronics: AC/DC and DC/DC conversion, battery charging, power management, protection circuits, sensing, and relay control
Energy Storage: Battery monitoring, BMS interfaces, charging/discharging control, protection, and diagnostics
Analysis: Worst-Case Analysis, Monte Carlo Simulation, Thermal Analysis, Power Loss and Efficiency Analysis
Compliance: EMC/EMI, Surge Immunity, FCC, CE, UL, IEC Standards
Tools: Cadence (OrCAD/Allegro), SIMetrix/SPICE, MathCAD, and advanced laboratory test equipment
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (B.Tech/B.E.) in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
10+ years of experience in embedded hardware and power electronics development within reputed organizations.
Strong expertise in end-to-end hardware product development, compliance engineering, and product industrialization.
Proven experience in designing and delivering high-volume products from concept through production release.
Excellent analytical, debugging, technical leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
