Senior Engineer – CapEx

LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking an experienced Senior Engineer with a strong focus on Capital Expenditures (CapEx) to join a leading manufacturing company. This role is ideal for an engineering professional with a proven background in capital project management, equipment implementation, and facilities or process improvements who is ready to take on increased responsibility in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of hands-on engineering expertise and strategic planning skills to support operational growth and long-term investment initiatives.

Responsibilities:
Lead and manage CapEx projects from concept through completion, including budgeting, scheduling, design, installation, and commissioning.
Develop capital justifications, ROI analyses, and project proposals for new equipment, process improvements, and facility upgrades.
Collaborate with operations, maintenance, finance, and leadership teams to align capital projects with business objectives.
Oversee equipment specifications, vendor selection, and contractor management to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Manage project risk, scope changes, and cost controls throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure all capital projects comply with safety regulations, engineering standards, and company policies.
Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve reliability through capital investment.
Coordinate equipment installation, start-up, and validation activities with minimal disruption to operations.
Maintain accurate documentation, drawings, and records for capital assets and completed projects.
Provide regular project status updates, timelines, and financial reporting to senior leadership.

Qualifications:
5+ years of engineering experience with a strong emphasis on CapEx or capital project management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related discipline).
Proven experience managing capital budgets, timelines, and cross-functional project teams.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, industrial equipment, and facility systems.
Design Experience including multiple years of CAD
Experience working with vendors, contractors, and equipment suppliers.
Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
Ability to analyze technical and financial data to support capital investment decisions.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement principles is a plus.

Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: $95,000 – $110,000 based on experience
Hours: Monday through Friday
