Location: Irvine, CA or Traverse City, MI
Compensation: $100k - $140k
Base salary will vary depending on job-related knowledge, education, skills, experience, and business needs. Salary is just one component of our comprehensive compensation package.

Position Overview:
Currently considering applicants at both our Irvine, CA and Traverse City, MI offices.
The Senior Engineer will be pivotal in developing, designing, and modeling structural and mechanical components using CAD systems, especially CATIA V5. This role requires working closely with engineering, project management, and fabrication teams to create 3D models and support the development of various complex prototypes and production models.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop, design, and produce detailed 3D CAD models and drawings of mechanical components and systems using CAD systems, particularly CATIA V5.
Guide a team of engineers while coordinating projects from start to finish, including large and complex initiatives.
Collaborate closely with engineers, technicians, and project managers to ensure alignment and timely completion of projects.
Communicate design details and processes effectively to fabrication teams and interface with customers as needed, addressing inquiries related to the design and engineering process.
Utilize problem-solving skills to meet project goals and deadlines while fostering a collaborative work environment.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5+ years of engineering experience.
Proficient in CAD systems, especially CATIA V5.
Experience in mechanical design, including composites and structural components.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
Knowledge of transport, automotive, or aerospace industries is preferred.
