Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Embedded / Analog Power Electronics Engineer to join a product development team working on next-generation low-voltage amplifier systems currently in the prototype phase. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer with deep expertise in analog electronics, embedded hardware, and power conversion technologies who can make an immediate impact with minimal onboarding.
The products under development are audio amplification systems used in alarm and life-safety applications. While prior audio industry experience is not required, candidates should possess strong fundamentals in analog circuit design, power electronics, hardware debugging, and performance optimization.
Project Details
Development of two amplifier platforms:
50W Single-Channel Amplifier
100W Multi-Channel Amplifier
Input Voltage: 24V
Switchable Output Voltage: 25V–70V
Designs are completed and currently in first-round prototype testing
Remaining development effort focused on:
Performance optimization
Distortion reduction
Efficiency improvements
Reliability validation
Key Responsibilities
Review, analyze, and improve analog and embedded hardware designs at the schematic level
Troubleshoot and debug prototype hardware in laboratory environments
Design, evaluate, and optimize DC-DC power converter circuits
Analyze power converter topologies and recommend design improvements
Investigate and resolve distortion, efficiency, and reliability issues
Support hardware validation, verification, and qualification testing
Utilize oscilloscopes, power supplies, electronic loads, and related test equipment for debugging and analysis
Review amplifier circuits, isolation barriers, relay circuits, and power subsystems
Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams to resolve technical challenges
Document test procedures, results, root-cause analyses, and design modifications
Contribute to additional embedded hardware development activities as required
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
Senior-level experience in analog electronics and embedded hardware design
Strong background in power electronics and power conversion systems
Hands-on experience designing and troubleshooting DC-DC converters
Solid understanding of power converter topologies and their applications
Experience working with high-voltage, low-power electronic systems
Ability to perform detailed schematic reviews and design analysis
Extensive laboratory experience with hardware debugging and validation
Proficiency using oscilloscopes, power analyzers, electronic loads, power supplies, and related test equipment
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with isolated and advanced power converter architectures
Knowledge of distortion analysis and performance optimization techniques
Exposure to audio, amplification, or signal-processing-related products
Experience supporting multiple embedded hardware projects simultaneously
Familiarity with product development from prototype through production
