We're looking for a versatile design engineer with experience in high-frequency analog- and digital hardware, component-level RF circuit design, and PCB layout.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Senior Electronics Design Engineer

General Responsibilities
Support component-level design, development, and testing of very-high-frequency analog and digital electronic hardware and embedded processor firmware for metrology instruments used by industries such as Semiconductor, Automotive, and more. Design mechanical components and housings for new products.

Specific Responsibilities
Support the component-level design and development of high-frequency analog and digital electronics.
Help develop firmware for embedded processors that directly control analog and digital electronic hardware via their GPIO pins.
Participate in building and testing prototype products and production test fixtures.
Help identify design issues and bugs, trace them to their root causes and implement solutions.
Contribute to the creation of product documentation and specifications.
Help prepare assembly procedures and test plans for manufacturing of products.
Support sustaining engineering efforts for existing products.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering required.
5+ years of experience with digital and analog circuit design.
8+ years of RF circuit design experience at the component level (resistors, capacitors, inductors, transistors, attenuators, LC filters, RF amplifiers, switching power supplies, embedded microprocessors, etc.) at analog frequencies well above 100MHz.
Skilled in Schematic Capture and Layout of PCBs to attain very-low-noise RF circuit operation.
Hands-on experience with the testing and debugging of RF circuits using network analyzers, oscilloscopes, and other test equipment.
Familiar with the theory and implementation of transmission lines.
Hands-on experience with computer-controlled test equipment such as network analyzers
and oscilloscopes.


Special Position Requirements
Regular use of a computer and test equipment and/or microscope requiring manual dexterity.
Supervision Exercised: None
Supervision Required: Minimal for a senior-level engineer
