A well-established Cybersecurity technology company is looking for a Senior Electronic Design Engineer to join its hardware engineering team.

You’ll work on the design and development of complex, processor-based electronic systems, taking ownership from initial design and component selection through PCB development, prototype testing, validation and production.

This is a hands-on role suited to an engineer who is comfortable working across the full hardware development lifecycle.

Responsibilities
Design complex digital electronic systems and multilayer PCBs.
Develop schematics, select components and contribute to hardware architecture.
Design and review high-speed digital interfaces and board-level interconnects.
Lead board bring-up, testing, debugging and validation.
Investigate hardware issues and drive root-cause analysis.
Support prototype builds and transition designs into production.
Produce technical specifications and hardware documentation.
Work closely with software, systems, mechanical and manufacturing teams.
Contribute to DFT, DFM and improvements to hardware development processes.

Requirements
10+ years’ experience in electronic hardware design.
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related field.
Strong experience designing processor-based electronic hardware.
Solid schematic capture and PCB design experience.
Strong digital and high-speed hardware knowledge.
Experience with interfaces such as PCIe, Ethernet, USB, SPI, I²C or UART.
Good understanding of signal integrity and high-speed PCB design.
Hands-on experience with board bring-up, testing and troubleshooting.
Experience taking hardware from prototype through validation and into production.
Experience with modern processor architectures such as x86, ARM and/or RISC-V.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Desirable
Experience with Altium Designer or similar tools.
Signal or power integrity simulation.
Analogue and power electronics experience.
Automated hardware testing.
Design for Test / Design for Manufacturing.
Experience working on complex, high-reliability electronic products.
