LOCATION: Sterling, VA 20166 (Onsite Monday-Thursday, WFH Friday)
DURATION: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire (100% Career Opportunity)
BENEFITS: Medical, Dental, Vision available Day 1. 401(k) available after 90 days.

SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior Electrical Product Design Engineer will lead the design, development, integration, and validation of complex electronic hardware systems supporting advanced sensing, communications, surveillance, and autonomous technology platforms. This individual will play a key role throughout the product lifecycle, from system architecture and schematic design through prototype development, testing, manufacturing, and production release. The ideal candidate combines strong electrical hardware design experience with troubleshooting and analytical skills and has experience supporting mixed-signal, FPGA-based, and high-speed digital architectures involving advanced communication and data-transfer technologies.

Responsibilities:
Lead the design and development of complex electrical hardware systems from initial architecture through production deployment.
Create, review, and optimize schematics for high-speed digital, mixed-signal, FPGA-based, power, wireless communication, and high-speed interface designs.
Support PCB layout activities and ensure designs meet signal integrity, power integrity, manufacturability, reliability, and performance requirements.
Design, validate, and troubleshoot high-speed electrical interfaces and communication pathways involving technologies such as Ethernet, DDR memory, PCIe, USB, LVDS, SerDes, RF, etc.
Perform board bring-up, integration, debugging, and root-cause analysis of hardware design issues.
Conduct electrical analysis, simulation, and validation activities related to signal integrity, power integrity, thermal performance, EMI/EMC compliance, and high-speed digital performance.
Build, test, and iterate prototype hardware to drive designs toward production readiness. Develop and execute hardware verification, characterization, and validation test plans.
Collaborate with firmware, software, mechanical, manufacturing, and quality teams to deliver integrated solutions. Evaluate and integrate commercial off-the-shelf and custom-designed components.
