Senior Electrical Engineer, RF/Analog Design
Woodcliff Lake, NJ | Full-Time | On-Site
This technology company in Northern New Jersey is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join its growing engineering team. This position was created due to continued company expansion and new product development, and the role carries significant technical responsibility for the design and development of advanced electronic systems.
Schedule
Full-time, on-site in Woodcliff Lake, NJ.
Compensation
$140,000 to $200,000 per year, based on experience.
What You'll Do
In this role, you will design and develop RF assemblies and analog and mixed-signal circuits, including ADCs, DACs, and power supply circuitry. You will create detailed schematics and oversee the layout of complex, high-frequency printed circuit boards, and you will design test fixtures while supporting prototype bring-up, testing, and troubleshooting of hardware issues. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, quality, and program management. This is a hands-on individual contributor role that also includes providing guidance, mentoring, and training to junior engineers to help strengthen the broader engineering team.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
5 to 10 years of experience designing and developing complex electronic systems
Strong background in RF and microwave circuit design
Experience with analog and mixed-signal circuit design, including ADCs, DACs, and power supply architectures
Expertise in schematic capture and high-frequency PCB design and layout
Strong laboratory skills with experience using RF and electronic test equipment
Experience designing test fixtures and supporting prototype evaluation and validation
Ability to analyze system-level tradeoffs, identify technical risks, and develop effective engineering solutions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present technical concepts to varied audiences
Proven ability to collaborate within cross-functional engineering teams
Experience mentoring and training less experienced engineers
Preferred Qualifications
Experience presenting technical designs to non-engineering stakeholders (program management, quality, or manufacturing)
Prior experience in a growing or expanding engineering organization
