We are seeking a hands-on Electrical Engineer with strong experience designing, simulating, developing, and testing electronic hardware. This role will be responsible for taking electronic designs from concept and circuit design through simulation, PCB development, prototyping, testing, and manufacturing support.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in electronic circuit design, PCB design/layout, circuit simulation, and hands-on hardware testing, with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues and drive designs into production.

This is a highly collaborative engineering role requiring close interaction with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, suppliers, and other functional teams.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, simulate, prototype, and test complex electronic circuits, assemblies, subsystems, power supplies, and electronic systems.
Develop and modify electronic designs based on product requirements, performance requirements, and development objectives.
Perform circuit simulations, engineering calculations, and analysis using SPICE and MATLAB.
Create electrical schematics and support PCB design, layout, component placement, and routing.
Build and evaluate prototypes and conduct hands-on electrical testing and validation of electronic assemblies and systems.
Troubleshoot design and product issues, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions.
Perform failure analysis, risk analysis, and root-cause analysis to improve product reliability and performance.
Work directly with Manufacturing to resolve production issues and transition engineering designs into production.
Develop and maintain engineering documentation, schematics, test documentation, work instructions, and Bills of Material (BOMs).
Manage component obsolescence and identify appropriate replacement components while maintaining product performance and reliability.
Initiate and support Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) resulting from design improvements, component changes, manufacturing issues, or cost-reduction initiatives.
Identify opportunities to improve product performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost.
Evaluate materials, components, and systems and make recommendations for design or manufacturing improvements.
Support cross-functional activities such as Material Review Board (MRB) processes and product issue resolution.
Provide technical guidance, training, and mentorship to engineers, technicians, and manufacturing personnel.
May serve as a technical project lead, coordinating engineering activities and assignments from development through implementation.
Support technical presentations and communications with customers, suppliers, and vendors as needed.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
4+ years of hands-on experience designing and developing electronic hardware.
Strong experience with electronic circuit design and analysis.
Hands-on experience with PCB design, schematic development, PCB layout, and routing.
Experience with SPICE-based circuit simulation such as PSpice, LTspice, or similar tools.
Experience using MATLAB or comparable engineering analysis/simulation tools.
Demonstrated experience with electronic hardware prototyping, testing, troubleshooting, and validation.
Strong understanding of electrical/electronic components, circuits, and electronic assemblies.
Experience performing root-cause and failure analysis on electronic hardware.
Ability to work effectively with Manufacturing and cross-functional engineering teams.

Preferred Experience
Experience designing or supporting power supplies.
Experience taking electronic products from design through prototype and into production.
Experience with engineering change processes, BOM management, and component obsolescence.
Experience supporting manufacturing and resolving production-related hardware issues.
Experience leading technical projects or mentoring other engineers.
Experience communicating technical information to customers, suppliers, and vendors.

What We're Looking For
The strongest candidate will be an engineer who can design the circuit, simulate it, lay out the PCB, build the prototype, test the hardware, troubleshoot failures, and work with Manufacturing to get the product into production.
This is an ideal opportunity for an Electrical/Electronics Engineer who enjoys being hands-on with hardware and involved throughout the entire product development lifecycle.
