Senior Electrical Engineer ~ Los Angeles (On-site)

We’re working with a rapidly scaling aerospace startup in Los Angeles building next-generation spacecraft systems. They’re looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to take end-to-end ownership of PCB design and hardware development for mission-critical flight systems.
This is a 0-1 role, owning hardware from concept through to flight within one of the most elite teams in New Space.

The Role
You’ll be responsible for architecting and delivering high-reliability PCBs used in spacecraft avionics, communications, and power systems. From schematic capture to board bring-up and validation, you’ll own the full lifecycle of hardware that will operate in orbit this year.

Responsibilities
Own the full PCB design lifecycle: architecture, schematic capture, layout collaboration, bring-up, and validation
Design high-reliability flight electronics for spacecraft and satellite systems
Develop complex multi-layer PCB designs integrating high-speed digital, analog, and power circuitry
Lead hardware debugging, testing, and environmental validation
Work cross-functionally with embedded software, mechanical, and systems teams to deliver integrated flight hardware
Drive engineering standards and mentor other hardware engineers
Requirements
BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or related field
3+ years experience designing complex PCB-based electronic systems
Demonstrated ownership of PCB design from concept through bring-up
Strong expertise in at least one of the following areas:
RF systems (communications, antennas, RF front ends)
Power electronics (power conversion, power distribution, battery systems)
Analog / digital electronics (mixed-signal design, high-speed digital systems)
Hands-on board bring-up, debugging, and lab testing
Nice to Have
Aerospace or spaceflight hardware experience
Experience designing high-reliability or harsh-environment electronics
Familiarity with EMI/EMC considerations in PCB design
