Senior Electrical Engineer
Austin, onsite. Open to candidates relocating.
A venture backed deep tech startup is building a next generation wearable headset that reads the body in real time, integrating EEG, PPG, motion and more into a device people actually wear for hours. Early team, real funding, hardware heading to production.
They are hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer to own the electrical systems behind it. The hard part here is the analog. Pulling clean biosignals off the human body inside a noisy wearable is where this role lives. If low noise front end design is the work you are proud of, read on.
What you will own
Electrical architecture for the headset: mixed signal PCB design across rigid and rigid flex
Low noise analog front ends for biosignal acquisition, EEG and PPG
Power management, battery systems and high speed sensor interfaces
Signal quality end to end: grounding, shielding, isolation, placement and routing
Board bring up, lab debug and validation through EVT, DVT and PVT
What you will need
Eight to fifteen plus years in electrical engineering for consumer electronics, wearables or medical devices
Real depth in mixed signal PCB design and low noise analog front ends
Power management experience and a strong grasp of EMI and EMC
Hands on board bring up, debug and validation with proper lab equipment
Shipped at least one product from prototype to production
Nice to have
EEG, EMG, ECG or PPG sensing experience, or other biosignal work
High density interconnects, flex circuits and compact system design
Embedded bring up in C or C plus plus, and contract manufacturer experience
