Title: Senior Electrical Engineer – Medical Device
Location: Lafayette, CO (Onsite (4 days/week in office, 1 flexible day)
Type: W2 Contract | 40 hrs/week
Duration: 12+ months
Key Skills Required
7–10 years of Electrical Engineering experience
Mixed-signal PCB design (architecture, schematic capture, PCB layout, design verification)
PCB layout design and schematic design/review using OrCAD
Strong analog and digital electronics fundamentals
PCBA End-of-Life (EOL) management and component obsolescence management
Component engineering and replacement qualification
Signal integrity, circuit analysis, and frequency-domain concepts
Medical device product development within a regulated environment
IEC 60601-1 safety standard and compliance testing
Hardware debugging and verification using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, network analyzers, and DMMs
Root cause investigation, product reliability, and customer complaint analysis
Cross-functional collaboration with Mechanical, Software, Quality, and Manufacturing teams.
Responsibilities
Design, maintain, and test mixed-signal electrical systems for medical devices.
Develop schematics, PCB layouts, and technical specifications.
Support component obsolescence initiatives, including replacement component qualification and regulatory assessments.
Perform hardware verification, debugging, reliability testing, and standards compliance testing.
Investigate product issues and customer complaints, identify root causes, and implement design improvements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout product lifecycle activities.
Preferred Background
Medical device experience strongly preferred.
Experience with medium-voltage systems and regulated product development.
Familiarity with Agile development environments.
