Senior Electrical Engineer – MedTech Consulting
Evvi Design is a fast-moving product development consultancy specializing in MedTech diagnostic instrument and therapeutics development. We're looking for an experienced Senior EE who thrives on ownership, speed, and getting hands dirty across the full electrical stack of complex medical instruments and devices. You will be heavily integrated throughout our rapid product development cycles with all disciplines including industrial design, mechanical engineering, and software / firmware engineering. You will be constantly solving new and interesting problems in a wide range of fields such as optics, fluidics, thermal engineering, and much, much more.
What you'll own:
Full electrical system design for complex medical instruments and devices, start to finish
End-to-end execution: concept schematics and breadboards through finished, validated PCBAs
Complete instrument electrical architecture — grounding, cabling design, and airflow/thermal considerations
What you bring (5 –10 years):
B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering with a solid physics foundation
Strong low-frequency analog design chops: low-noise circuits, analog and switching power supplies, filter design, high-resolution ADC techniques
Experience with low-level photodiode and photomultiplier optical detection
Feedback control systems for stability and performance
Graphic LCD display development for small embedded systems
Stepper motor drive and tuning experience
Fluency in Altium, KiCad, SPICE, or similar tools, with proven PCB layout experience
Embedded microprocessor system development, plus basic firmware/software for system bring up and testing
Comfort troubleshooting mixed analog/digital systems hands-on
EMC design and test experience for low-noise results
Thermal analysis as it relates to electrical component performance
Strong documentation skills — block diagrams, flowcharts, formal requirements
Risk and FMEA analysis experience
Familiarity with UL electrical safety requirements
Some SCRUM / Agile produce development experience
Excellent communication skills — you'll work directly with clients, not just a spec sheet
Why join us:
We move fast, take on hard problems in MedTech, and give engineers real ownership over designs that ship. If you want endless variety and a team that matches your pace, we want to hear from you.
