A leading engineering and technology company is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Lead to guide the development of advanced electronic hardware and embedded systems for mission-critical applications. This individual will provide technical leadership throughout the product development lifecycle, from architecture and design through integration, testing, and deployment.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, leading cross-functional engineering efforts, and working closely with customers and program stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of complex analog, digital, power, and FPGA-based electronic systems.
Serve as the technical lead for electrical engineering activities while ensuring projects meet technical, cost, and schedule objectives.
Design, develop, integrate, and evaluate printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs), electronic subsystems, and related hardware.
Create analog and digital circuit designs, perform simulations, and support PCB layout using industry-standard design tools.
Analyze system requirements and develop practical engineering solutions within project constraints.
Support proposal development by providing technical input, cost estimates, and engineering basis of estimates.
Plan and execute hardware integration, verification, qualification, and validation testing.
Troubleshoot hardware issues during development, manufacturing, and customer installations.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to optimize system performance, manufacturability, and long-term reliability.
Prepare technical documentation including design reviews, specifications, test procedures, and technical presentations.
Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to other engineers.
Travel up to 30% to support customer installations, system testing, and field activities.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
4+ years of relevant experience for Engineer III, 6+ years for Engineer IV, or 9+ years for Lead/Senior Engineer.
Strong experience designing analog, digital, and power electronic circuits.
Hands-on experience with FPGA development and implementation.
Experience developing complex electronic hardware from concept through qualification.
Ability to troubleshoot hardware at the board and subsystem level.
U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Preferred Skills
Experience with LTSpice, Cadence/Allegro PCB Designer, Mentor Graphics, Xilinx Vivado, VHDL, and Verilog.
Knowledge of PCB design, simulation, signal integrity, and hardware integration.
Experience developing technical documentation including test procedures, specifications, white papers, and design reviews.
Project leadership experience using Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and Control Account Management is strongly preferred, particularly for senior-level candidates.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across engineering teams and interact with customers and stakeholders.

Salary of $150,000 to $250,000 depending on level
