About the Role
Yamaha’s Product Development team is building the next generation of fresh tech for Yamaha vehicles. This role focuses on designing, validating, and improving electrical systems, components, and software that elevate performance, reliability, and user experience.
What You’ll Work On (Skills‑Driven Breakdown)
Electrical & Electronic System Design
Create 3D/2D CAD models for electrical components and systems
Develop and refine electrical harnesses, PCB layouts, and system logic
Apply principles of electromagnetic waves, sensors, image processing, and radio wave technologies
Testing, Diagnostics & Validation
Use electrical diagnostic equipment to evaluate system performance
Troubleshoot prototype issues and drive corrective actions independently
Verify control system logic and test items based on engineering principles
Technical Project Execution
Build and manage BOM structures for electrical systems
Order and track prototype samples aligned with project schedules
Support validation, cost‑reduction initiatives, and manufacturability improvements
Cross‑Functional & Supplier Collaboration
Communicate with internal teams to ensure system performance meets expectations
Manage development work performed by external suppliers to Yamaha standards
Coordinate directly with vendors on prototype and production issues
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
Propose new electrical systems, components, and software to enhance Yamaha vehicle functionality and marketability
What You Bring
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Extensive experience with 3D solid CAD systems
Deep knowledge of PCB design, testing, and troubleshooting
Strong understanding of control systems, logic design, and verification
Expertise in electrical harness creation/modification
Ability to independently diagnose and resolve technical issues
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
Minimum 5 years of industry experience in electrical system development
