Job Description

We are seeking an Electrical Engineering Lead to guide the development of complex electronic hardware and subassemblies for advanced seabed applications. This role encompasses the full engineering lifecycle, including system architecture, analog and digital circuit design, circuit card assembly (CCA) development, subsystem integration, qualification, testing, installation, and troubleshooting.

Citizenship and Clearance Requirement

Must be a U.S. citizen.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense Secret security clearance.
An active clearance is not required at the time of application unless otherwise specified.

Responsibilities

Lead electrical engineering development efforts for complex electronic hardware and systems.
Architect, design, develop, modify, evaluate, and integrate electronic circuit cards, components, parts, and integrated circuitry for complex, high-performance seabed hydrophone systems.
Develop analog, digital, power, and FPGA-based circuit card designs.
Perform schematic capture, simulation, PCB layout support, and design verification using tools such as LTspice, Cadence/Allegro, Siemens/Mentor Graphics Xpedition, and Xilinx Vivado.
Analyze electrical and system requirements to determine design feasibility within technical, cost, and schedule constraints.
Lead CCA and subsystem integration, troubleshooting, verification, qualification, and testing activities.
Identify component characteristics, limitations, and lifecycle risks that may affect system performance, reliability, supportability, or sustainability.
Develop electrical test procedures, specifications, white papers, design review materials, and technical presentations.
Communicate technical recommendations to internal and external customers and stakeholders.
Support program proposals, bids, and the development of engineering bases of estimate.
Support customer-site installations, system testing, and troubleshooting.
Apply Earned Value Management System practices and serve as a Control Account Manager, as required for the assigned position level.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Travel up to 30% for field support and customer-site activities.

Required Qualifications

U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
Advanced knowledge and demonstrated experience in analog, power, digital, and FPGA design.
Experience designing circuit card assemblies using Xpedition or Cadence Allegro.
Experience developing Xilinx FPGA solutions using VHDL or Verilog.
Experience integrating and testing circuit cards, electrical subsystems, or complex electronic systems.
Strong technical writing, communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional leadership skills.
Ability to travel up to 30%.
