Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Be the person who owns the board - not just a part of it. From concept through to production.

You'll be the senior digital design engineer in a R&D team, taking board level designs all the way from concept to production. You'll be doing everything from schematic design, simulation and analysis, PCB layout, and full board bring up - you'll be given full ownership.

There's also a real opportunity to lead here. This a senior seat on a team that is growing steadily and has a large amount of pipelined work - you'll have a genuine say in how things are done, rather than having to follow someone else's guidelines.

The base salary for this role is in the range of $160k - $180k, depending on experience. The role is based full time on site in the Herndon, Virginia area.

What you'll do

Take digital and high speed boards through from concept to production
Own the schematic capture, analysis, and PCB layout
Design the hardware around CPUs, FPGAs and microcontrollers
Drive the board through bring up and validation
Mentor junior engineers

What you'll need

7+ years in board level electrical design
Strong board level digital design skills
Experience with DDR3/4, PCIe, SerDes, gigabit Ethernet, or similar technology
Experience designing CPU, FPGA, or microcontroller based boards
Experience designing boards for manufacture
