Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Wyoming, MI, for a Senior Design Engineer. The Senior Design Engineer will be responsible for developing and reviewing designs, utilizing SolidWorks design (CAD) software, collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams, optimizing product designs, and supporting the manufacturing of custom and automated equipment solutions. Additional responsibilities include troubleshooting design challenges, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in designing automotive body in white Spot Weld cells and fixtures and Chassis MIG Weld cells and Fixtures
Proficiency in SolidWorks tools and related software
Comprehensive knowledge of Mechanical Engineering concepts and applications including NAAMS standards
Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and automation systems
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field;
Prior experience in automated equipment design and development is a plus
