We are seeking a Senior Design Engineer to provide technical leadership and ownership for the design, development, and sustainment of complex mechanical products and systems, with a primary focus on centrifugal pump applications.

This role requires strong expertise in fluid power systems, hydraulic performance, mechanical design, and product development while leading high-impact engineering initiatives from concept through production.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:
✅ Lead complex product and system design from concept through production launch with a focus on centrifugal pumps
✅ Define technical strategy, product architecture, and performance requirements for fluid power systems
✅ Apply advanced fluid dynamics and hydraulic analysis to evaluate pump performance, efficiency, NPSH, bearing life, axial thrust, and system curves
✅ Evaluate pump and motor interactions within hydraulic systems to ensure performance and reliability
✅ Lead design reviews and approve critical technical decisions
✅ Drive NPD and VAVE initiatives with measurable business impact
✅ Define testing strategies and oversee validation and qualification activities
✅ Apply advanced GD&T, tolerance analysis, and design verification methods
✅ Approve engineering designs, drawings, and ECNs
✅ Resolve complex manufacturing, supplier, and field issues through advanced root cause analysis
✅ Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership in design best practices

🔹 Required Qualifications:
✅ Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology
✅ 7+ years of relevant engineering experience
✅ 5+ years of experience with centrifugal pumps and hydraulic systems
✅ Strong understanding of hydraulic motors, fluid power systems, and mechanical operation
✅ Experience with FEA and FMEA methodologies
✅ Advanced knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and design verification
✅ Strong technical leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills
✅ Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor (Expert Level) and engineering analysis tools

⭐ Preferred Background:
• Industrial pump manufacturing
• Fluid handling equipment
• Hydraulic systems and rotating equipment
• Mechanical product development environments
