We are looking for a talented chip design or verification engineer to join NVIDIA's Networking team and apply their RTL/DV experience to formal verification - one of the highest-impact disciplines in pre-silicon engineering. This role is a strong fit for engineers who enjoy deep debugging, logic reasoning, micro-architecture, and proving that complex designs work correctly. You do not need to come from a formal-only background; you will work closely with NVIDIA's experienced formal verification team and build scarce, highly valued expertise while contributing to next-generation switch/GPU technologies at the heart of AI infrastructure.
Our team delivers world-class chip solutions for HPC, AI infrastructure, data centers, network, and storage markets. We micro-architect, verify, and deliver smart, high-bandwidth multi-port switches. NVIDIA has the most sophisticated formal verification tools and methodologies in the industry, which help us achieve A0 design tapeouts. If you're an RTL designer or DV engineer looking to deepen your impact and differentiate yourself, this team is where that happens.
What you'll be doing:
Use your Design/Verification experience to define, model, and prove key design behaviors using formal methods.
Work closely with design, verification, and architecture teams to find bugs early and improve design quality.
Build expertise in advanced formal tools, properties, abstractions, and debug methods with mentorship from an experienced FV team.
Take part in the AI revolution, working on cutting-edge silicon architectures.
What we need to see:
BSc in Electrical/Computer Engineering (or MSc in Mathematics/Computer Science)
5+ years of experience in chip design - FV, RTL design, DV, or a mix.
Strong analytical thinking and logical problem-solving skills
Experience debugging complex design issues at the RTL or functional level
Good communication skills; able to work across design and verification teams
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Exposure to formal verification concepts or tools (even academic)
Familiarity with digital logic design principles
Experience with assertion-based verification (SVA, PSL)
NVIDIA has some of the most forward-thinking and hardworking people in the world working for us. Are you a creative and autonomous engineer who loves a challenge? Come join our team and help us build the future HPC and data centers. NVIDIA is committed to fostering a diverse work environment and proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
