Job Description

We are seeking a Precision Analog IC Design Engineer to design and develop high-performance analog integrated circuits. The ideal candidate will have experience designing precision analog building blocks such as ADCs, DACs, voltage regulators, operational amplifiers, and bandgap references. This role emphasizes precision, accuracy, low noise, stability, and robust circuit performance rather than high-speed design. Experience with SOI process technologies is desired, while FinFET experience is considered a plus.

Responsibilities

Design and develop precision analog integrated circuits and functional blocks.
Create transistor-level designs for ADCs, DACs, voltage regulators, operational amplifiers, bandgap references, and related analog circuitry.
Translate system and product requirements into circuit-level specifications and architectures.
Perform schematic capture and transistor-level circuit simulations using SPICE, Cadence Spectre, or comparable tools.
Evaluate circuit performance across process, voltage, temperature, mismatch, and Monte Carlo variations.
Analyze and optimize circuits for accuracy, noise, linearity, offset, stability, power consumption, and reliability.
Develop simulation plans and verify designs against functional and performance requirements.
Conduct design reviews and clearly communicate technical decisions, results, and tradeoffs.
Collaborate with layout engineers on floor planning, device matching, parasitic reduction, shielding, and other precision-layout considerations.
Perform post-layout extraction and simulation to verify circuit performance.
Support design verification, physical verification, tape-out, silicon bring-up, characterization, debugging, and production release.
Document circuit architectures, design analyses, simulation results, and verification outcomes.

Required Qualifications

Proficiency with SPICE simulation, Cadence Spectre, or an equivalent analog-circuit simulation environment.
Strong understanding of analog design fundamentals, including feedback, stability, noise, offset, device matching, linearity, and process variation.
Experience performing corner, mismatch, and Monte Carlo analyses.
Understanding of analog IC layout considerations and parasitic effects.
Ability to analyze technical requirements and develop robust circuit architectures.
Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
