Role: Senior Analog Design Engineer
Location: Remote; occasional travel to the San Francisco Bay Area required
Employment Type: Contract
Duration: Approximately 3 months, with potential for additional ongoing part-time consulting work
About The Role
Voler Systems is seeking a highly experienced Senior Analog Design Engineer to support complex electronics design and troubleshooting projects.
The ideal candidate is a senior-level, hands-on engineer who can independently solve difficult circuit-design problems while communicating effectively with customers and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Responsibilities
Design and troubleshoot complex analog electronic circuits
Design circuits involving switching regulators, ADCs, sensor signal conditioning, and amplifiers
Support analog and digital circuit integration
Diagnose circuit and system-level technical issues
Collaborate directly with customers and engineering teams
Support EMC testing, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions where applicable
Provide technical leadership and guidance to other engineers
Adapt designs and priorities as project requirements evolve
Required Qualifications
10+ years of analog design engineering experience
Strong analog circuit design and troubleshooting expertise
Experience with switching regulators and power-related circuitry
Experience with analog-to-digital converters
Experience with sensor signal conditioning
Experience designing amplifier circuits, including Class A through Class D
Familiarity with digital electronics
Strong customer-facing and technical communication skills
Ability to independently learn and solve unfamiliar technical problems
Strong organization and ability to manage changing priorities
Preferred Qualifications
Digital circuit design experience
EMC/EMI testing and troubleshooting experience
Programming experience in a software language
PPG, ECG, or GSR sensor experience
Medical device experience
Experience supervising or mentoring other engineers
Broad experience spanning analog, digital, firmware, or software engineering
Skills: troubleshooting,circuit design,design,circuit,analog,emc
