Senior Analog Design Engineer – Well-Backed Startup – San Jose

We have partnered with a well-backed startup specialising in high-speed optical interconnect technology. Working across analog and Mixed-Signal design, you’ll work across the next generation of semiconductor tech from the ground up.

What you’ll be doing
Design and develop high-performance analog/mixed-signal circuits for advanced optical interconnect ICs, including high-speed TX/RX, drivers, amplifiers and data-paths.
Develop highly integrated, low-power multi-channel architectures, contributing to circuit specifications, architecture and PPA/signal-integrity trade-offs.
Perform circuit simulation, verification and corner analysis, collaborating closely with digital, photonics, device, packaging and system teams.
Support the full silicon lifecycle from concept to tape-out and production, including silicon bring-up, characterization, lab measurement and debug.

What we’re looking for
Strong industry experience in analog or mixed-signal IC design
Proven experience designing circuits in CMOS technologies
Experience with high-speed I/O, optical communications or data-converter-related circuitry
Strong understanding of transistor-level circuit design and semiconductor fundamentals
Experience with industry-standard IC design and simulation tools
Solid understanding of PVT variation, signal integrity, noise, power and reliability
Experience taking designs through silicon validation and characterization
A BSc, MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
