Company Description BigEndian Semiconductors is a fabless semiconductor startup building secure, high-performance System-on-Chips (SoCs) in India for global markets across surveillance, telecom, IoT, and enterprise systems. The company follows a “security by design” philosophy, tightly integrating hardware and software to deliver trusted silicon solutions for both national security and commercial applications. Headquartered in Bengaluru, BigEndian collaborates with strategic partners in Taiwan and India to drive end-to-end semiconductor innovation from architecture through tapeout to product launch. The leadership team brings decades of experience from companies such as Intel, ARM, Broadcom, and Zenoti, and is supported by government programs and deep-tech investors. BigEndian is on a mission to help position India as a global hub for semiconductor design, innovation, and manufacturing, starting with fabless design and progressing toward full-scale fabrication capabilities.
Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Senior Analog Design Engineer role based in Bengaluru. The Senior Analog Design Engineer will be responsible for architecting and designing analog circuits and power management blocks for high-performance SoCs, including specification development, circuit-level design, simulation, and optimization for performance, power, and area. Day-to-day activities include transistor-level design and verification of analog and mixed-signal IPs, collaborating with digital design, layout, and verification teams, and supporting integration into larger systems. The role involves reviewing layouts for analog circuits, performing corner and Monte Carlo analysis, contributing to design documentation, and supporting silicon validation and characterization post-tapeout. The engineer will also participate in design reviews, mentor junior team members, and contribute to continuous improvement of design methodologies and flows.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in analog design, including Analog Circuit Design and Analog Circuits for SoC and mixed-signal applications.
Minimum 5 Year experience in Analog Design.
Hands-on experience in Circuit Design, covering transistor-level design, simulation, and verification of analog and mixed-signal blocks.
Proficiency in Power Management design, including regulators, references, clock and power distribution, and related analog subsystems.
Solid understanding of semiconductor device physics, noise, matching, and reliability in advanced CMOS technologies.
Experience with industry-standard EDA tools (e.g., Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre, HSPICE, MATLAB) and analog design flows.
Proven track record taking analog IP from concept to silicon, including lab bring-up, characterization, and debugging.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field; several years of relevant analog design experience, ideally in SoC environments.
Strong collaboration and communication skills, ability to work in cross-functional teams, and willingness to mentor junior
