Skill Set & Expertise
Strong expertise in LTE/NR PHY Layer, DSP, RF, and Antennas
Deep knowledge of modulation, coding (FEC, LDPC, Turbo decoding), MIMO, beamforming, complex I/Q sample processing, FFT/IFFT, channel estimation & equalization, modulation/demodulation
Proficiency in C/C++, MATLAB, real-time embedded systems, FPGA/ASIC/GPU programming
Hands-on experience with fronthaul (CPRI/eCPRI) and L1 acceleration
12+ years of PHY/RF software development experience, with additional years leading 4G/5G L1 program delivery
Proven ability to drive large-scale 4G/5G L1 product development, sustenance, and customer support across eNodeB/gNodeB variants including vRAN/ORAN/custom deployments
Roles & Responsibilities
Design and implement LTE/NR PHY algorithms and procedures
Mentor and review high-performance L1 teams to ensure delivery excellence
Optimize L1 for latency, throughput, and efficient CPU/DSP/GPU/FPGA utilization
Collaborate with Radio/RF, L2, and fronthaul subsystems for seamless integration
Debug PHY issues using logs, IQ captures, and lab equipment
Lead end-to-end execution of 4G/5G L1 programs, ensuring quality, scalability, and customer satisfaction
Communicate effectively with senior internal and external stakeholders to align technical delivery with business goals
