Stafingo is hiring on behalf of our confidential client in the USA. We are seeking an experienced Semiconductor Factory Automation Consultant to support large-scale semiconductor manufacturing and factory automation initiatives. This role is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in SECS/GEM standards, semiconductor manufacturing processes, MES integration, equipment automation, and factory automation systems. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, process SMEs, and technical teams to deliver robust automation solutions that improve manufacturing efficiency, equipment connectivity, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities :
Participate in fit-gap analysis, process modelling, and process standardization alongside business leads and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to define and implement factory automation requirements.
Design, develop, configure, and integrate SECS/GEM interfaces for semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
Configure manufacturing equipment for communication with host systems, including communication parameters and data collection variables.
Validate Tool-to-Host communication using SECS/GEM simulators and testing tools.
Develop and support automation applications using C# and/or Java.
Create, manage, validate, and maintain equipment recipes using Siemens Camstar/OpCenter.
Implement data collection strategies to capture real-time equipment data for process monitoring and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
Monitor equipment health, production metrics, and manufacturing performance to improve operational efficiency.
Author validation documents and support Factory Automation qualification activities.
Work closely with MES development teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Provide effort estimates, user story sizing, project updates, and technical documentation.
Support HyperCare, production deployments, and Go-Live activities.
Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing and technical leadership within the team.

Required Skills & Qualifications :
6–15 years of experience in Semiconductor Manufacturing and Factory Automation.
Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and equipment automation.
Deep knowledge of SECS/GEM standards (SEMI E30 and related standards).
Hands-on experience with SECS/GEM message structures, communication protocols, and data formats.
Experience developing and integrating SECS/GEM interfaces for semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
Experience in configuring equipment communication with MES and Host systems.
Experience testing Tool-to-Host communication using SECS/GEM simulators.
Hands-on experience with Wafer Manufacturing Tools and Host Automation applications.
Strong programming experience in C# and/or Java.
Experience with Siemens Camstar/OpCenter MES, including equipment modelling and recipe management.
Knowledge of Factory Automation functions, including:
GUI development
Tool Scheduling
Recipe Management
Equipment Integration
Factory Automation using SECS/GEM
Experience implementing Statistical Process Control (SPC) data collection strategies.
Strong understanding of Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and Good Testing Practices (GTP).
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications :
Experience working on enterprise MES implementations in semiconductor manufacturing.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional engineering, manufacturing, and automation teams.
Ability to lead technical discussions and provide mentoring to junior consultants.
Self-driven professional with the ability to learn quickly and adapt in fast-paced manufacturing environments.
Experience supporting HyperCare and production Go-Live activities.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to identify and develop talent within project teams.
