We are looking for an experienced Firmware Validation Engineer to work on the validation of security firmware for automotive SoCs. The role involves validating security-critical firmware components across SoC, MPU, and MCU platforms, ensuring correctness, robustness, and compliance with automotive and security requirements. The engineer will be responsible for firmware validation, debugging, and system-level analysis while collaborating closely with firmware development, architecture, and system teams to ensure high-quality and reliable firmware releases.
Your tasks
Performing firmware validation for security firmware on automotive platforms
Validating firmware functionality at the Black Box, SoC, and System/Integration levels
Executing validation activities on ARM-based SoC, MPU, and MCU architectures
Debugging complex firmware and security-related issues using hardware and software debugging tools
Supporting the validation of secure boot-related firmware flows and low-level embedded firmware functionality
Analyzing failures, identifying root causes, and providing actionable debugging insights
Collaborating with firmware development and architecture teams throughout the validation lifecycle
Requirements
At least 10 years of experience in Embedded Firmware Validation with strong knowledge of embedded system design, firmware functionality, and validation methodologies
Hands-on expertise in SoC, MPU, and MCU architectures, with a strong understanding of ARM-based embedded platforms, preferably in the automotive domain
Proficiency in C, Python, and scripting languages, with practical experience working on RTOS-based embedded systems
Experience using embedded development toolchains and IDEs, including Green Hills (GHS), GNU Cross Compilers, and embedded development environments
Strong hands-on experience with debugging and validation tools such as Lauterbach, GDB, JTAG, and Trace32
Expertise in firmware debugging, benchmarking, profiling, root cause analysis, and failure analysis at firmware and system/integration levels
Excellent English communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional and global engineering teams
