RTL Design Engineer
An opportunity for an experienced digital design engineer to contribute to the development of complex integrated circuits. The role involves working across the full front-end design cycle, from architectural definition through to implementation and silicon validation.
Responsibilities
Develop RTL for digital components and subsystems using hardware description languages
Contribute to the design of on-chip communication structures and data movement mechanisms
Interpret architectural specifications and implement efficient hardware solutions
Optimise designs to meet performance, power, and area requirements
Support verification activities including debugging and functional validation
Work with implementation teams to address timing and physical design considerations
Participate in design discussions and technical reviews
Assist with silicon bring-up and debugging activities where required
Requirements
Significant experience in digital IC design
Strong knowledge of RTL development using Verilog or SystemVerilog
Experience working on complex chip-level or subsystem-level designs
Understanding of common on-chip communication protocols and design techniques
Knowledge of high-speed digital design concepts such as pipelining and data flow control
Familiarity with synthesis, timing analysis, and design optimisation
Experience with industry-standard electronic design automation tools
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
Desirable
Experience across multiple stages of the silicon development lifecycle
